BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN- A woman has been arrested after abandoning her baby daughter at a Bodega on Friday.
Police say that Markisha Greene, 32, from The Bronx, walked into a deli near Gates Ave as she was pushing a stroller with her baby in it. She asked a store employees if she could use their bathroom, reports PIX11.
Once in the bathroom, Greene was inside for several minutes, before exiting the bathroom and leaving her daughter near the front of the store.
Police were called on a report of child abuse. The girl was taken into the custody of the Administration for Children’s Services.
Greene was arrested and charged with abandonment of a child and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
