Boy accused of killing cheerleader stabbed her 114 times

FLORIDA- A 14-year-old boy charged in the brutal killing of a cheerleader, stabbed her 114 before dumping her body in the woods, authorities announced on Thursday.

Aiden Fucci will be tried as an adult. He was originally charged with second-degree murder in a juvenile court, but has now been indicted on a first-degree charge.

Prosecutors say that Fucci pre-meditated killing 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey, even bragging to other’s that he was going to take someone into the woods and kill them.

Bailey was reported missing on Mother’s Day. Her body was found hours later in a wooded area with multiple stab wounds.

Fucci, who attended the same school as Bailey, was arrested that same day after police went through surveillance footage and DNA evidence.

If convicted as an adult, Fucci faces life in prison.
