Evelyn Lozada says she’s exiting ‘Basketball Wives’ after 9 seasons

Reality star Evelyn Lozada says she’s leaving ‘Basketball Wives’ after 9 seasons on the show.

Lozada broke the news in an interview with E! Daily Pop on Wednesday.

She told the outlet “I am no longer going to do Basketball Wives,” said Lozada, “I think that it’s time for me to open up the universe to other things.”

The 45-year-old reality star also told the outlet that she was leaving the show for family, who she says hasn’t been happy with her being on the show. Lozada says her mother was so happy when she decided not to return to the show.

“Now I have a conscience about what I say and what I do and what my kids are going to see,” she said.

Lozada joined the VH1 show for it’s first season in 2010. She took a break in 2015, but returned to the show.

Lozada has an adult daughter from her previous relationship with Jamal Hairston, and a 7-year-old son she shares with MLB player Carl Crawford. She dated NBA player Antoine Walker for 10 years and was briefly married to NFL player Chad Johnson in 2012.
