FLORIDA- A man confessed to killing his lover on Facebook Live, right before killing himself in a murder-suicide.
Police say Keith Jackson, 30, called a friend on Monday morning and admitted to killing his boyfriend. That call prompted the friend to contact police, which started an hours-long standoff with SWAT and Jackson.
Jackson refused to come out of his condo, as SWAT watched him admit to killing “the love of his life” on Facebook Live and said he had tried to kill himself three times since murdering his boyfriend, but was unsuccessful.
Jackson said he wanted police to kill him, but when that didn’t happen, he told police “If you guys aren’t going to do this, we’re back at square one. I’m going to have to take matters into my own hands”, reports The New York Daily News.
SWAT smelled smoke, and realized that Jackson had set his condo on fire. When police arrived at his home, they found two deceased males. One was described as the victim and the other was Jackson.
