Jay-Z sues Dame Dash to stop NFT sale of ‘Reasonable Doubt’

Roc-A-Fella Records are suing one of it’s co-founder’s, Dame Dash, in an attempt to stop him from auctioning off Jay-Z’s album as an NFT.

The record company claim in their suit that Dash is allegedly trying to sell “Reasonable Doubt” as an NFT, which is a non-fungible token, and auction it off, which Dame is not allowed to, according to the record label, TMZ reports.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, the record label’s attorney, Alex Spiro, claims that Dash was planning on selling the album as an NFT in a now cancelled auction, and the label fears that Dash will find another platform to auction off the classic album.

The company is asking a NYC court to stop Dash from auctioning off the NFT and make him turn over any NFT’s he may have already minted.
