Judge blocks Damon Dash from selling Jay-Z’s album as NFT

NEW YORK- A federal judge has blocked Damon Dash from selling Jay-Z’s album ‘Reasonable Doubt’ as an NFT.

The judge issued a temporary restraining order that prohibits Dash from selling the album as an NFT, which is a non-fungible token that is a digital art form traded only through an online auction after Roc-A Fella sued him, reports Page Six.

The lawsuit claims that Dash, who owns a one-third stake, along with Jay-Z and Kareem Burke, isn’t the sole owner of the album’s copyright and doesn’t have the right to sell the album.

Dash told Page Six denies the allegations and says Jay-Z is “bullying” him.

‘Reasonable Doubt’ was released in 1996, selling over 1 million copies.
