MISSISSIPPI- A man has been arrested and charged after police say that he allegedly raped and beat a woman inside of a mall bathroom.
Police say Andrew Malik Jones, 28, was waiting inside of the restroom when the victim entered.
The victim told police that Jones forced her into a stall, beat her and then raped her, reports WLOX-TV.
Jones allegedly grabbed the woman’s purse afterwards and ran through the mall parking lot. The victims husband nabbed Jones, as others helped in holding him down until police arrived.
The victim suffered a fractured skull and other injuries. She’s currently hospitalized in New Orleans.
Jones has been charged with sexual battery and robbery. He’s currently in jai on $1 million bond..
