SOUTH CAROLINA- A man who fatally stabbed a college student 2019, after she mistook him for an Uber driver has been sentenced to life in prison.
Nathaniel Rowland was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday, after jurors found him guilty of stabbing 21-year-old Samantha Josephson 20 times on March 29, 2019.
Josephson willingly got inside of Rowland’s car, thinking he was her Uber and after Josephson told her was when asked.
Josephson got into Rowland’s Chevrolet Impala early that morning, thinking he would take her back to her home, but instead, Rowland took a different direction.
When Josephson realized that Rowland wasn’t her Uber, he had locked her inside of his car with childproof locks and began attacking her.
Rowland attacked Josephson, stabbing her over 100 times and then dumping her body in a wooded area. Josephson’s body was discovered by hunters, who called police.
