FLORIDA- A woman has been charged after throwing her boyfriend’s cat into a river last week, police say.
Christa Thistle, 53, is accused of allegedly throwing the cat, who was in a crate, into the waterway on Thursday after a dispute with her ex-boyfriend over him not moving out of their RV, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said on their Facebook page.
The cat was rescued after being submerged under water for about 20 seconds and survived.
Thistle has been charged with animal cruelty.
