CHICAGO- The body of a missing pregnant woman who was found in Lake Michigan has been identified, police said on Saturday.
Police have identified the victim as Yarianna Wheeler, 19. Police say she was stabbed multiple times.
A fisherman found Wheeler’s body floating in the water on Aug. 15. She had been in the water for 12 days and was officially identified on Saturday, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Wheeler’s cause of death is pending, but police are investigating her death as a homicide.
Wheeler was six months pregnant.
