Reality star Nene Leakes husband Gregg Leakes has died of colon cancer at the age of 66.
Gregg died “peacefully” in his home surrounded by his family, according to his publicist Ernest Dukes in a statement on Wednesday.
“Today the Leakes family is in deep pain with a broken heart. After a long battle with cancer, Gregg Leakes has passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his children, very close loved ones and wife Nene Leakes,” Dukes said.
Dukes added “We ask that you pray for peace and strength over their family & allow them to mourn in private during this very very difficult time.”
Nene had just broke the news about Gregg’s health to a crowd of patrons on Saturday at The Linnethia Lounge in Georgia.
“My husband is transitioning to the other side”, Nene said in a video that went viral.
Gregg was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2018.
