FLORIDA- Police are asking for the public’s help in finding 19-year-old Miya Marcano.
Marcano was last seen on Friday, Sept. 24, at the Arden Villas Apartments near the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Her father says she was supposed to fly to Fort Lauderdale later that day but she never made it to her flight.
Police say the person of interest in Marcano’s disappearance, Armando Manuel Caballero, 27, was found in an apparent suicide on Tuesday. He was a maintenance worker at Arden Village.
Marcano lived and worked at the leasing office in Arden Village.
Authorities say Caballero had used a maintenance key to go inside of Marcano’s apartment around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, a half-hour before she was supposed to finish her shift.
A warrant was issued for Caballero before he was found dead on Monday morning outside some apartments.
Deputies say that Caballero had developed romantic feelings for Marcano.
Marcano told her friends that Caballero had been texting her and she had asked him to stop. He did, but then began texting her again.
