(Update) Jim Jones arrested for drug & gun possession

Rapper & “Love & Hip Hop” star Jim Jones was arrested on possession of drugs and guns after a small car chase according to police in Coweta County. The rapper was in a vehicle with 3 other passengers. Police say the gray Mercedes SUV  “drifted” onto the emergency lane several times, and when the police officer attempted to do a traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle whose name is Ana Rajnee Miles, gave the police a small chase and allegedly intended to hit the officers vehicle. When the police reportedly ordered everyone out of the car, Jones told police that he told Miles to pull the SUV over, but she was “incoherent”. Police allegedly found 2 backpacks in the SUV that contained 23 Oxycodone pills and a loaded Titan .25 caliber pistol in one, along with another backpack that had Percocet, Oxycodone and THC oil. Police also say they found Marijuana in the car scattered and a stolen Ruger SR 9mm handgun. All four passengers were taken to Coweta County Jail after a medical release, and charged.

Jones admitted to smoking Marijuana, but said he had no knowledge of the guns. He also told police that he had a prescription for the pills, but didn’t have it on him.

Ana Rajnee Miles, 23, the driver of the SUV was charged with theft by receiving stolen property, aggravated assault, fleeing/attempting to elude police, narcotics possession, aggressive driving, marijuana possession, dangerous drugs to be kept in original container and failure to maintain lane.

The other two passengers, Jamal Rajhun Smith, 32, Darnell Maurice, 31, were charged with narcotics possession, marijuana possession, possession of firearm during commission of a crime, and Smith was charged with theft by receiving stolen property.

Jones has been released, but the 3 other passengers remain in jail.
