NORTH CAROLINA- Two children were shot as they waited at a Burger King drive-thru on Thursday night, police say.
According to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened Thursday around 7 p.m. as the children were in a car with their family waiting on food.
Shots were fired, and one bullet broke through the car’s window, striking two children who were sitting in the backseat.
The children were taken to a hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made. Police also believe the children weren’t intended targets.
