A 9-year-old boy is reportedly in a coma and clinging to life after Friday’s deadly Astroworld Music Festival.
Era Blount was reportedly on his father’s shoulders in the audience when a group of fans began to rush the stage, causing chaos among fans as they were trampled and running for their lives.
“My son had Ezra on his shoulders at the concert and my son couldn’t breathe because of all the pressure that was being applied to him and he passed out,’ the boy’s father told KTRK-TV.
He added “And when he passed out, Ezra fell into the crowd. He was trampled really bad.”
Ezra was taken to a hospital in cardiac arrest.
The boy has brain swelling, damage to his heart, lungs and kidney, his grandfather says.
The grandfather tells Travis Scott “If you feel so bad why aren’t you down here at the hospital checking on your fans?”.
8 people were killed and almost 300 were injured at the show, which had 50,000 concertgoers.
