CALIFORNIA- An armored truck spilled out possibly thousands of dollars on a California highway Friday causing a frenzy.
The truck’s doors accidentally flew open around 9 a.m., which sent money flying in the air and on to the ground as people got out of their cars and grabbed the money, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver reportedly attempted stop people from taking the money, but was unable to do so and began recording those who were taking it.
Police arrested a man and woman, after they got locked out of their vehicle to collect the cash. Both were charged with suspicion of taking some of the money.
It’s unclear how much money flew out of the truck, but authorities believe it may have been thousands.
Several videos of drivers taking the money have gone viral.
