PENNSYVANIA- A 4-year-old boy is dead after accidentally shooting himself in the head with a gun he found.
Police say they responded to a call about a child that suffered a gunshot injury. When paramedics arrived at the residence, they rushed the boy to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, PEOPLE reports.
The boy was identified as Ajani Lane.
Police believe the boy accidentally shot himself, and there is an ongoing investigation.
According to a Facebook post by Ajani’s mother, Natwauna Lane, her son was with family members at the time of his death. She wrote that he loved football, and leaves behind two siblings.
A GoFundMe page has been set-up to help the family with funeral costs.
Police have not charged anyone.
