CALIFORNIA- A woman was arrested on suspicion of stealing over $300,000 worth of merchandise from high-end stores, police said Wednesday.
Ekaterina Zharkova, 38, allegedly used tools to disable security sensor devices as she stole from stores like Prada, Gucci and Jimmy Choo, according to the Orange County Register.
Zharkova was arrested on Nov. 23 after investigators followed her into a Nordstorm at a shopping mall and witnessed her walking out of the store with $3,500 in stolen merchandise, police say,
Police say they recovered more than 2,300 items that included clothing, hats and more which had a value of $32,683. Investigators say she allegedly kept the stolen goods in her home to sell them online.
