ATLANTA- Police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection to the killing of rapper Chucky Trill earlier this year.
Authorities said the suspect was arrested as he was exiting a plane at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals and Atlanta Police, reports 11Alive.
Chucky Trill, whose real name is Corey Detiege, was shot on March, 5, along I-85. The 33-year-old rapper was in town to perform at an NBA All-Star Weekend event.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was shot once.
Police say the suspect is facing charges of malice murder and aggravated assault charges. He’s currently being held without bond.
