GEORGIA- Police are searching for an Uber driver who allegedly shot a pregnant woman, causing her to deliver her child prematurely.
Police say they found the woman in College Park with gunshot wounds to her stomach and leg Saturday night. The victim gave birth at a near-by hospital. Both her and her baby were placed in stable condition.
The victim was 7 months pregnant, according to her family on Facebook.
Her father, Kenneth Ashton, claims the Uber driver shot his daughter during an argument about her ride to an apartment complex.
Ashton says the driver picked his daughter up in a car that didn’t match the description on the app.
Uber has a no firearms policy.
