WASHINGTON D.C. (DMV) – Rapper Goonew was shot and killed on Friday, according to multiple reports.
At around 5:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the District Heights, Md. in the Washington suburb of Prince George’s County.
Once on the scene, they located an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for life threatening injuries.
He was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m.
The Prince George Police Department tweeted about the shooting that on Friday evening.
“At approx. 5:40 pm, officers responded to the area for a report of a shooting. Once on scene, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital for life threatening injuries.”
The rapper was almost killed last year after he was shot several times.
Goonew released two solo mixtapes, Goonwick, Big 64, and Hey Auntie. He was affiliated with Hoodrich Pablo Juan.
