TEXAS- A man was arrested Tuesday after police found human remains in his kitchen which were identified as those of his son who died in 2018, police say.
Police made the gruesome discovery upon conducting a welfare check after a concerned citizen contacted them.
When police arrived at the home of David McMichael, 67, they asked him if he knew why they were at his home, and he told them it was because he had a body in his kitchen.
An autopsy will be conducted on his sons remains to find a cause of death.
McMichael was charged with abuse of a corpse.
