MICHIHAN- A 14-year-old robbery suspect was arrested for robbing a liquor store after his mother tipped police off.
Police say an employee at the store called 911 after the boy had come in and demanded her to “empty the register” which she did. The boy then fled the scene, reports Fox News.
He didn’t appear to have a weapon on him, but he did have his hand in his pocket during the incident.
Hours later, police received a call from a woman saying her son had been acting strange and that he had a “large sum of money” he wasn’t supposed to have.
Police spoke to the boy at his home, and he admitted to robbing the liquor store that afternoon. He was taken into police custody and arrested.
It’s unclear what charged he’s facing.
