NYC- The NYPD has released details on the suspect wanted for opening fire and injuring over a dozen people in a subway car Tuesday afternoon.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 5′ Feet 5 inches tall and heavyset. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, a green construction vest and a smoke gas on.
The unidentified suspect was riding the train around 8:24 a.m. when he pulled out a canister and opened it before throwing in on the floor. He then opened fire and began shooting passengers.
The attack is not being described as an act of terrorism as of now, police say.
16 people were injured in the shooting. 10 suffered gunshot wounds and are being treated.
