INDIANA- A man has been sentenced to 105 years in prison for the execution style murder of a 14-year-old girl, a judge ruled Thursday.
A jury convicted Deonlashawn Simmons, 36, for the 2019 murder of Takaylah Tribitt in March.
Tribitt, who was a runaway, was found dead face down, with her hands tied with cords and surrounded by trash. Her body was found blocks away from Simmons family’s home.
Tribitt reportedly met Simmons at a birthday party a week before she was killed.
Simmons says he’s innocent.
