CALIFORNIA- A mother fatally stabbed both of her family’s pit bulls after they attacked her 1-year-old daughter and other family members Sunday night.
The two dogs attacked the toddler when she began to cry at the family’s home, Los Angeles police told KABC.
The toddler suffered a fractured hip and bites to her shoulders, legs, and ear before the dogs turned on her mother, who was bit on her face near her eye and lip.
The dogs continued to attack the grandmother and her other daughter, before her granddaughter’s mother grabbed a knife and fatally stabbed both dogs.
Four relatives were taken to a hospital for their injuries.
KABC says the family had the dogs since they were puppies. They were 3 years old.
