LOS ANGELES- Police have arrested a man after he attacked comedian Dave Chappelle while he was performing on stage.
Isaiah Lee, 23, is accused of lunging at Chappelle and knocking him to the ground as he was performing Tuesday night at the Hollywood Bowl stage in L.A during the ‘Netflix Is A Joke’ festival.
Chappelle wasn’t injured, but Lee was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Police say Lee was carrying a replica handgun. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
Chapelle was introducing rap duo Rap Star before Lee attacked him.
There is no clear motive for the attack as of now.
