ATLANTA- The City of Forest Park has denied a special permit for the late rapper Lil Keed.
City officials said that due to upcoming events that include the general primary election next week, they have decided to not issue the permit for the rapper’s vigil, which was supposed to be held at Starr Park on Tuesday night, according to reports.
Security will be amped up as streets will be blocked, and more officers at all city parks and public recreation areas to ensure public safety.
The 24-year-old rapper died on May 14 in his California home. His brother, rapper Lil Gotit confirmed his death on Instagram.
Lil Gotit never confirmed his brother’s cause of death but did say that he took his brother to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The rapper reportedly died from organ failure, TMZ reported.
