NYC- Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire on a passenger in what police are calling an unprovoked attack.
The unidentified suspect was reportedly pacing back and forth in the last car of a Manhattan-bound Q train around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday before pulling out a gun and shooting a 48-year-old passenger in the chest, according to NYPD Chief of Department Kenneth Corey.
The suspect fled the scene once the train pulled into the Canal Street train station, police say.
The victim was taken to a Bellevue where he was pronounced dead.
Police say there no other passengers were hurt.
