TEXAS- A shooting at an elementary school has left 14 students dead and a teacher.
Governor Greg Abott said the suspected gunman, identified as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, was killed by responding officers, the Associated Press reported.
“He shot and killed, horrifically, incomprehensibly, 14 students and killed a teacher,” Abbott said during a press conference.
Abbott said two police officers were injured during the shooting.
Ramos, a student at Uvalde High School, fatally shot his grandmother before leaving to the school with a handgun and a possible rifle, reports the San Antonio Express-News.
