INDIANA- An unidentified boy who was found dead inside of a suitcase in the woods last month died from electrolyte imbalance, according to autopsy results, according to reports.
The boy, described as a 5-year-old African American, was discovered by a mushroom forager near a roadway on April 16 in a suitcase with a Las Vegas logo.
An electrolyte imbalance can occur due to a lack of fluids in the body, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea.
Officials say a toxicology report came negative and the boy didn’t have any injuries.
Authorities are still trying to identify the boy. There have been no arrests at this time.
