DALLAS- Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney has died after a car crash on Monday. He was 25.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on the service road of the Woodall Rogers Freeway, reports CBS Dallas.
Another person was also killed in the crash.
His death was confirmed by The Cardinals and his agent.
The team released a statement which read: “We are devastated to learn of Jeff Gladney’s passing. Our hearts go out to his family, friends and all who are mourning this tremendous loss.”
Gladney played at TCU before becoming a 2020 first-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings. He played 16 games for the team but was released before the 2021season after he was charged with assaulting a woman.
