Teen Arrested After Allegedly Threatening To Kill Sheriff Over Young Thug’s Arrest

GEORGIA- Police arrested an 18-year-old boy who allegedly threatened to kill a Sheriff and his wife over the arrest of rapper Young Thug, Gunna and others associated with YSL, reports AJC.com.

The teen identified as Quartavius Mender, was booked into jail last week on 23 counts of making terroristic threats, according to AJC.

Mender allegedly threatened to kill Fulton County Sheriff Patrick Labat, his wife Jacki and the Atlanta school district’s police chief if they didn’t release Young Thug, on several different social media pages, according to local news outlets.

Mender wrote “#freethug or Imma sh00t u and your wife,” according to arrest warrants obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He also allegedly wrote “Imma assassinate you” on the sheriff’s Instagram page,

One of the 28 people charged in the racketeering indictment is named Tenquarius Mender, but it’s not clear if the two are related.

Rapper Young Thug is accused of being the leader of the Young Slime Life (YSL) which is the name of his record label. YSL rapper Gunna and 26 others were arrested under RICO charges.

Charges against the rappers and others range from carjacking to murders.

Young Thug and Gunna were both denied bond last week until their trials begin.
