TEXAS- A 5-year-old boy died after his mother accidentally left him in her car for hours as she was preparing for his sister’s birthday party.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The boy went with his mother and sister to a store to get party supplies for his 8-year-old sister’s birthday place. When they arrived back home, his mother and his sister exited the vehicle, but the boy stood buckled in in his seat. It took hours before the family noticed he wasn’t inside of the home, County Sheriff Ed Gonzelz told ABC13 KTRK.
There is an ongoing investigation.
