Rapper Hotboy Wes Arrested In Texas

TEXAS- (KWTX) – Rapper Hotboy Wes was arrested Saturday night, according to KWTX.

The rapper, whose real name is Wesley Lewis, was charged with possession of marijuana. He was released from jail after posting a $3,000 bond from Brazos County jail, reports the news station.

An officer was conducting a traffic stop around 10 p.m. July 23 when the officer noticed the rapper’s black 2018 Dodge Charger allegedly speeding in the 3000 of North Texas Ave, according to KWTX.

According to an affidavit, the officer stopped Hotboy and smelled marijuana coming from the car before calling for backup. He said he also noticed a tray which Hotboy said he used earlier for marijuana.

The vehicle was searched by the officer before backup arrived and found a large amount of cash that Hotboy said was payment from performing as an artist.

The officer also found two 9 mm pistols in a pink purse that belonged to a female passenger.

Hotboy was taken to jail, where a bag of marijuana was found in his pocket.
