LOS ANGELES- An alley next to the site where rapper Nipsey Hussle was murdered will be temporarily closed due to recent violent crimes in the area, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The City Council voted on Friday to shut down the alley located near the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Blvd for at least 18 months, reports Fox 11.
The alley begins from West 58th Place to West Slauson Avenue, parallel to Crenshaw Boulevard.
A mural for Nipsey Hussle was made right next to the alley, who the LAPD says has become a “hot spot” for robberies, shootings, drug abuse and other crimes.
