Police Seize Nearly $1 Million Worth Of Cocaine, 3 Suspects Charged

MICHIGAN- Police seized nearly $1 million worth cocaine during a traffic stop.

Troopers stopped a vehicle on July 27 for a traffic violation. When police attempted to conduct a search of the vehicle after the driver gave them permission, the driver sped off. Police say the occupants were behaving “suspiciously”.  reports Fox 17.

The vehicle later crashed, and troopers arrived to find nobody inside, but they did discover 22 pounds of cocaine in the car.

Police said the street value of the cocaine is estimated to be $985,000.

Two suspects, who both had children with them during their arrests were charged.

Daquane Wilson, 27, was arrested with a baby, and Jadzia Cobeo, 22, was found with a toddler near a swamp.

A third suspect, Nedra Thompson, 50, was also arrested.

Cobeo and Wilson were charged with fleeing from authorities, carrying more 1,000 grams of cocaine with delivery intent, fourth-degree child abuse and resisting and obstructing.

Thompsom was charged with possession of delivery intent and counterfeiting money.
