Vikings Star Dalvin Cook’s Brother Charged With Murder

MIAMI- The half-brother of Minnesota Vikings star running back Dalvin Cook has been charged with first-degree murder in Miami, Florida, police say.

18-year-old Demarcus Cook was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder and robbery after he allegedly exchanged gunfire with another teen during a marijuana deal gone wrong on Tuesday.

The 17-year-old victim was killed, and Cook was also wounded in the shooting, according to the Miami-Herald.

According to an arrest report obtained by WSVN, Demarcus Cook is accused of driving up to the victim’s home for the drug deal before shots were fired.

Police reportedly found a gun that matched the caliber of casings found at the scene.

Cook was shot in his chest during a drive-by shooting four years ago.

According to his mother, who spoke to the Miami-Herald, Cook is in jail and his sister was at the scene.

His brother hasn’t released a comment about his arrest.

Dalvin Cook grew up in Miami, attending Miami Central High School before he went to Florida State University and being drafted by the Vikings in 2017.
