Rapper Lil Tjay has broken his silence after he was shot 7 times in June.
The Bronx rapper, appearing with a neck brace on, reclining on a sofa, told his fans “Man, I’m just checking in with y’all. I just want to say thanks for the love, thanks for the support,” he told his followers. “I was looking at the DMs and I’m seeing the comments and everything else and I felt loved, know what I’m saying?”.
“Seven shots, it was tough, you know. Most people don’t survive it, but I’m here. Here for a reason,” he added. “New music coming soon. We’re gonna come back stronger than ever.”
The 21-year-old rapper underwent emergency surgery after he was shot 7 times in Edgewater, N.J. on June 22 in a botched robbery. His friend, Antoine Boyd, who was with him, suffered a single gunshot wound.
Mohamed Konate, 27, was arrested and charged three counts of attempted murder, three counts of armed robbery and other weapons charges.
