LOUISIANA- Rapper Mystikal was indicted by an Ascension Parish grand jury Wednesday, according to local reports.
The 51-year-old rapper was arrested back in July on an alleged sexual assault charge, police said.
The New Orleans rapper was formally charged with first-degree rape, false imprisonment, robbery and domestic battery.
The rapper is accused of attacking a female, holding her against her will by taking her car keys, throwing alcohol on her to “cleanse” her of bad spirits and then sexually assaulted her in July.
This is not the first time that the rapper has been charged with a sex crime.
The rapper, whose real name is Michael Lawrence Tyler, pleaded guilty to sexual battery and served 6 years in prison.
