NYC- A woman was brutally beaten inside of a Queens subway station by a homeless man and her attack was caught on surveillance video.
The footage shows Waheed Foster, 41, a parolee, chasing the 33-year-old victim inside of the station on Sept. 20 before grabbing her arm and throwing her onto the floor where he repeatedly punched and kicked her in the face and head.
A straphanger can be seen attempting to stop the attack, but the suspect lunges at him and he runs away in fear.
Police say the victim was on a Northbound A train when the suspect attempted to engage in a conversation with her about the “devil” and became upset after she ignored him.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was placed in stable condition. She has been released and may lose vision in her eye.
Foster, who’s on parole, killed his grandmother at 14-years-old over a dispute over money, according to The Post.
He has seven prior arrests. In 2010, he stabbed a woman at a mental institution.
Foster also has two other pending cases on charges of minor theft and criminal mischief.
The victim spoke to a local news station demanding more police presence at subway stations and calling out Mayor Eric Adams for the rise in subway crimes.
