George Floyd’s Family Sues Ye Over False Statements

George Floyd’s wife, Roxie Washington, will sue rapper Kanye West over comments he made on the “Drink Champs” podcast.

Washington will be suing Kanye, whose real name is Ye, for “harassment, misappropriation, defamation” and “infliction of emotional distress,” according to reports.

The suit comes days after Ye appeared on the “Drink Champs” podcast, where he made false comments about Floyd’s death.
Ye told rapper NORE “I watched the George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put out,” he said. “They hit him with fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that.”

He even compared George Floyd to the late Virgil Abloh, saying Floyd reminded him of the late designer.

Ye’s comments also come after he attended the premiere of Owen’s Daily Wire documentary “The Greatest Lie Ever Sold. George Floyd and the Rise of BLM.”

What a coincidence…
In a news statement, attorney Pat D. Dixon said “Kanye’s comments are a repugnant attempt to discount George Floyd’s life and to profit from his inhumane death. We will hold Mr. West accountable for his flagrant remarks against Mr. Floyd’s legacy, according to The Times.

Ye has been going on rants again in the past several weeks, tweeting antisemitic comments and receiving backlash for wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt, which has caused his Twitter and Instagram account to be deleted.

His upcoming appearances on HBO’s “The Shop” have also been scrapped and his ties with Adidas remains a mystery.

George Floyd was killed in 2020 when former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin pinned him to the ground and kneeled on his neck for 9 /2 minutes.

Chauvin was charged and convicted of murdering Floyd.
