Rapper Spinabenz Found Not Guilty On Gun Charges, Avoids 30 Years In Prison

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA- Rapper Spinabenz was found not guilty on possession of a firearm by a convicted felon Thursday after a four-day trial, reports WTLV-TV.

The rapper, whose real name is Noah Williams, was facing 30 years in prison for the charge.

He’s been behind bars since last August after cutting off his ankle monitor and still faces charges for that, according to the news station.

Prosecutors used his lyrics against him during trial, referencing his song “My Glock” where he rapped “My Glock cost $300” and references having a female “over 18” buy him a gun, reports WTLV-TV.

Prosecutors said that he allegedly had his girlfriend buy him the Glock he was accused of possessing.

Willliams was stopped by police during a traffic stop last year. Police say his girlfriend was driving the car, as he was allegedly in possession of the Glock. Officers say when they pulled him over, he took the gun out of his waistband and put it in the glove box.

He was arrested after his DNA was found on the gun.

Willams has been released from jail.
