Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown will stay with Donda Sports despite all of the controversy surrounding founder Ye.
Ye, also known as Kanye West, has caused controversy yet again, this time for tweeting antisemitic comments which has now caused him to lose business deals and for supporting the ‘White Lives Matter’ movement.
Brown said that he will stay with Donda sports but doesn’t “condone” the statements Ye made.
Brown told the Boston Globe “The reason why I signed with Donda Sports, it represented education, it represented activism, disruption, it represented single-parent households, and a lot more people are involved in something like that.”
He added ” Like I said, I don’t condone any hurt, harm or danger toward a group of people”, he said. “I will continue to uplift my community through my work and what I’ve done throughout my career, and I’m going to continue to do that work.”
