NYC- Former ‘SNL’ vet Chris Redd was attacked outside of a comedy club Wednesday night, according to reports.
Redd was set to perform at the Comedy Celler in Greenwich Village, but as he got out of his car around 9:40 p.m., a man dressed as a security guard walked up to him and punched him in the face, according to witnesses, reports WABC-TV.
Other witnesses told TMZ that the suspect attempted to grab Redd’s chain, which fell apart in the floor, which Redd was able to retrieve.
Redd was taken to Bellevue hospital where he was treated for a deep cut on his nose.
