Takeoff’s Record Label Says Rapper Was Killed By A Stray Bullet

HOUSTON- Rapper Takeoff, from the former rap group the Migos was killed Tuesday by a stray bullet during a dice game in Houston, according to his record label.

Quality Control Music issued a statement on social media saying the 28-year-old rapper died from a stray bullet, despite report of him being a possible intended target.

The label said Takeoff’s life was taken by “senseless violence and a stray bullet”. “We’re devastated” they said.

Takeoff, whose real name is “Kirshnik Khari Ball” was allegedly shot and killed when two male suspects opened fire, after he and his uncle, fellow rapper Quavo allegedly got into an argument with another group.

Witnesses say at least 10 gunshots were heard before the rapper was shot, along with two other victims.

The two other victims were taken to a hospital, where they were treated for their injuries.

Police say they have no suspect (s) in custody.
