Rapper Offset Cancels Show In Wake Of Takeoff’s Death

Rapper Offset has canceled an upcoming performance after the death of his groupmate Takeoff’s death.

The Atlanta rapper will not be performing at the MGM Music Hall in Boston on Thursday after the sudden and tragic death of Takeoff, who was killed Tuesday in Houston, according to TMZ.

An employee at the venue told TMZ that the event “will still go on as planned, but Offset won’t be there.”

Takeoff, 28, was Quavo’s nephew and the Offset’s cousin.

As I wrote before, Takeoff’s death has been ruled a homicide, and his cause of death were gunshots to his head and torso.

The group’s record label, Quality Control Music, released a statement Wednesday saying Takeoff died by a stray bullet, although authorities haven’t confirmed that claim.

Offset has yet to speak on Takeoff’s death, but he did change his profile picture to the late rapper on his Instagram Wednesday.
