HOUSTON- A month after the death of Takeoff, a teen allegedly connected to his death appeared in Houston court on weapons charges not related to the rapper’s death.
Cameron Joshua, 16, known as “Lil Cam” was in court for two counts of a felon with weapon charges, according to KHOU11.
KHOU reports that after the hearing, Lil Cam’s defense attorneys said their client was not accused of killing or shooting anyone despite reports.
Prosecutors replied by saying they’re still conducting an investigation into Takeoff’s death.
The Migos rapper was shot and killed during a dice game at a Houston bowling alley almost a month ago.
There are no suspects in custody.
His record label claims Takeoff was killed by a stray bullet, but some believe he was targeted.
