LOS ANGELES- Amid a jury selection, prosecutors added another felony charge against singer Tory Lanez, who is accused of shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, had been previously charged with one count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, along with allegations he used a firearm and inflicted great bodily injury.
Prosecutors now added a felony count of discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Lanez is accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in her foot in July of 2020 after an alleged argument.
