Judge Considers Lowering Bail For Rapper Takeoff’s Alleged Killer

HOUSTON- The man accused of killing rapper Takeoff faced a judge on Tuesday to have his bail lowered.

During a hours-long hearing before the holidays, prosecutors and Clark’s attorney argued, with prosecutors asking to keep him in jail. During the initial hearing, Clark’s father testified that his son works as DJ and promoter for strip clubs and gets paid by cash, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Clark’s attorneys are asking that Clark’s bail, which was initially $2 million, be set at $300,000.

Clark, 33, was charged with the murder of Migos rapper Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Bell. He was fatally shot on Nov. 1 playing a dice game during a private event at a bowling alley in Houston.

Authorities believe that Clark allegedly shot into a crowd after an argument with another man, and Takeoff was not the intended target.
